Tricks N Trails is a MTB race/ride for all ages put on by Ryan Balkenhol (Coach of Team Coyote) and Bobby Thompson (Owner of Discover Gravel). The event benefits local area cycling youth by donating 100% of the net profits to a local youth cycling fund.
Tricks N Trails is a mtb race held on a private trail network of about 2.5 miles of trail. The trail is well cared and fun for both the beginner and the advanced rider! TnT has categories for all ages so bring the family and hang out!!
I mean...we ALL do really. Youth cycling is a year round activity. Costs can escalate for families from maintenance to entry fees to transportation. We simply don't want cost of cycling to be a barrier of entry in keeping kids on bikes. The rest of us, the adults, benefit by sharing our love of two wheels with the younger generation!
WE ARE BACK!!
A year goes quick! We are back and ready for an exciting day of racing and trail riding. Ryan has been busy making small and large adjustments to the trails. He even added a 3 tier switchback this year!!!
We collectively decided to hold off on the 5k walk/run for one more year. I want to offer quality not quantity and until I know what we offer is quality...I hold back.
Please consider coming out early and spending the day!! Riders of all ages will be racing and need to be cheered on!! We also have plenty of food to eat!!
By all accounts, Tricks N Trails (TnT) 2022 was a great success!! We had just at 70 riders sign up! We had about 60 riders show up and toe the start line. The day generated just under $3000 from registration fees, food and drink sales and shirt sales. We are all very appreciative of and humbled by the cycling community's generosity. From the bottom of our hearts...THANK YOU!!!
The future of TnT looks bright indeed. We will be back in 2023 even more experienced and with a more polished race day experience. I say that but I must say...our crew pulled off a stellar first MTB race! A day the whole family can enjoy! We will be reaching out to folks for partnership and sponsorship opportunities to ass to the riders experience! Ryan and I can not wait for 2023!!
